Sitemap Generator worked well overall. The lastmod fields were populated with incorrect dates (they were not the most recent publication dates for each of the pages). These were corrected manually before uploading the sitemap.

Of course, the sitemap preparation took some time. It succeeded in the xml file, but not in the txt file (Google test). But the preparation was free of charge, so we cannot complaine. It was simple to implement online.
